The Brief

The clients outline requirements were for more generous and open plan living spaces with access and views to the garden, larger bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a separate study for home working and a playroom for 2 young children.

Our Solution

A side extension over two storeys, relocation of the front door and adjustments to the internal layout achieved the core spatial requirements. A single storey rear extension afforded an additional sitting room area and more spacious open plan living. The main feature of the design is the exposed oak grid structure which flows into an outside pergola, integrated with the roof and building. A new oak porch and dark framed windows throughout transform a mock Georgian property into a modern, stylised home.
