The Brief

Located in a rural area of West Sussex this site was situated on the edge of a hill with beautiful views to the south over the local countryside. Having already received outline planning for the construction of 4 large houses, we were asked to improve the scheme to maximise the sites development potential.

Our Solution

With some fine tuning of the site layout, we were able to enlarge the houses and their garden areas as well as improve vehicular access. The largest of the 4 houses is situated on a steep slope which was re designed to include a semi-basement which opens to a private patio area at the rear. A large outside terrace on stilts appears to be floating, extending the living areas and providing a magnificent vantage point over the rolling hills.
